FAQs about Capping and Sealing Machines

Capping is a mechanical process that screws or presses plastic or metal caps onto the bottle neck. Induction sealing uses electromagnetic fields to melt an inner foil liner directly across the bottle rim to form a hermetic seal. The capping process is always followed by induction sealing.
Because induction sealing is a non-contact heating process that does not apply physical pressure. The capper must first press the cap down to force the inner foil liner flat against the bottle rim. This way, the induction sealer melts and bonds the liner to the container.
These systems must run at the same pace to prevent container jams. Poor timing between the two systems can cause cocked caps, missed seals, and unstable production efficiency.
Standard inline closure systems typically handle 60-200 bottles per minute. Heavy-duty rotary units easily exceed 300 bottles per minute.
