How Benchtop Fillers Work

The working principles of most tabletop semi-automatic liquid filling machines can be classified into three ways:

Timed-Flow: Uses microcomputer logic to drive a wear-free, self-priming pump. Fill volumes are determined by precise software calculations of pumping time and motor speed.

Volumetric: Powered strictly by compressed air. A cylinder draws material through a directional check valve into a chamber, then pushes it out. Fill capacity is set by adjusting the piston stroke length.

Electromechanical: A rotary star wheel continuously indexes vials to the filling station. A PLC-controlled peristaltic pump dispenses precise doses, immediately followed by automated plugging and capping.
