How These Tabletop Counters Work

Many semi-automatic pill counters generally use two methods to count solid doses: automated sensors and physical templates.

Photoelectric Sensor Counting

Feeding: Tablets or capsules travel along the vibrating tracks, line up in single rows, and move toward the counting zone.
Detection: As pills drop, they pass through an infrared light matrix that immediately registers an accurate count.
Dispensing: Upon reaching the target count, the system automatically funnels the batch into a waiting bottle.

Physical Template Counting

Loading: Pills settle into each pocket of the counting disc as it rotates and vibrates.
Filling: The disc moves to the discharge chute, where the pills in the pockets fall into the container below.
