How the Premade Pouch Filler and Sealer Works

At their core, horizontal and rotary premade pouch filling machines operate with similar principles.

Step 1. Pouch Feeding

Vacuum suction cups pick one flat pouch at a time from the magazine and secure it in the grippers for transport.

Step 2. Bag Opening

The top and bottom vacuum pads pull the pouch open. An air nozzle blows a burst of air inside the pouch to fully expand it.

Step 3. Product Dosing

The filling nozzles dive into the pouch and dispense the material measured by augers, pumps, or weighers.

Step 4. Top Sealing

Heated jaws or an ultrasonic sealing module bond the pouch top edges together to create an airtight seal.

Step 5. Discharge

After sealing, the pouch passes through a cooling station to set the seal. Grippers then move it to the discharge point and release it onto a conveyor or into a bin.
