How It Works: Rotary Filling and Closing

A tube packaging machine operates on a rotary indexing system. It intermittently moves empty tubes through stations for filling, sealing, trimming, and coding. Its core process is:

Step 1: Empty tubes are loaded into individual holders on the rotating carousel.

Step 2: A photoelectric sensor detects the tube seam or color mark to align the tube to the correct position.

Step 3: A nozzle dives into the tube, where a precise amount of viscous material is pumped in.

Step 4: Heating, ultrasonic, or folding methods are then used to close the tube ends.

Step 5: Batch numbers or expiry dates are embossed onto the seal area.

Step 6: Excess material on the sealed tube ends is trimmed for a uniform look.

Step 7: The finished tubes are finally ejected from the carousel into a collection container.
